Join Docent Frank Kemmer on this 2-mile, moderate (2-sneaker) walk. The terrain is a gradual uphill on open, wide natural paths. The docent will discuss wildlife living in the park, their calls and habitat.
Walkers will meet in the parking lot near the walking bridge. The park is located at 668 Haverstraw Road (Route 202) in Montebello, NY 10901.
This walk is not stroller friendly and dogs are not allowed. There are no restrooms at this park.
Participants should wear proper footwear (close-toed sturdy shoes such as walking shoes/boots or sneakers) and clothing (light-colored), and bring along sunscreen, binoculars, water and a snack, and walking sticks if desired. Hiking boots preferred.
Walks are sponsored by the Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources, the Rockland County AmeriCorps program and the Rockland County Department of Health’s Steps to a Healthier Rockland program.
