Join Docent John Jurasek on this 4-mile (with an optional 2-mile extension on the pier), more difficult (3-sneaker) walk. The terrain is mostly smooth with some slightly rough places. This walk will be at a moderate pace with some climbing involved. The Docent will discuss the history of Tallman. Bring along a trail lunch to enjoy.
Walkers will meet in front of 450 Piermont Avenue in Piermont NY (10968)
Directions: Route 9W to Piermont NY (follow signs). Go down hill until you reach Piermont Avenue. Make a right on Piermont Avenue and park in the municipal lot on left.
Participants should wear proper footwear (close-toed sturdy shoes such as walking shoes/boots or sneakers) and clothing (light-colored), and bring along sunscreen, binoculars, water and a snack, and walking sticks if desired. Hiking boots preferred.
