Join Docent Sue Humbach on this <1 mile easy (1-sneaker) walk on paved road and gravel and pine needle trails. The trail has a wooden fishing station and benches along the way.  This is a kid-friendly walk and will offer a variety of family-friendly activities.

Schedule of Events:

9:30 am - Lyme Awareness Dance

9:45 am - Clowning Around and Tatoos

10:00 am - Predator/Prey Game

10:15 - 10:45 am - Guided Walk with Scavenger Hunt

10:45 am - Snack time

9:30 am - 11:00am - Vendors Fair

From Main Street in New City, turn onto New Hempstead Road.  The park is located at the intersection of New Hempstead Road and Little Tor Road.  The entrance is directly across from John Street.  The address is 57 New Hempstead Road.

Walkers should meet in the parking lot.

Participants should wear proper footwear (close-toed sturdy shoes such as walking shoes/boots or sneakers) and clothing (light-colored), and bring along sunscreen, binoculars, water and a snack, and walking sticks if desired. Hiking boots preferred.

Walks are sponsored by the Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources, the Rockland County AmeriCorps program and the Rockland County Department of Health’s Steps to a Healthier Rockland program.
